I’m Monica Hawthorne and I created H&G Pet Services in 2024 to fill the needs I saw here in beautiful Rossland, BC. There are so many loved animals in our little town, and we are all such busy people! We work hard and play hard, and making sure our pets are cared for and well exercised can mean hiring some reliable help. I’m pleased to offer services to help you support your pet’s life and happiness.

Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up riding horses and caring for cats and dogs in southern Ontario. Over the years while I worked in social services, I also worked in horse stables, volunteers in animals shelters, assisted in a country-vet clinic, and worked for dog walking services.

When my little family decided to settle down here in Rossland, after many years of coming and going, I hoped I could one day make a living here doing what I love the most - caring for happy and loved animals.
